Wall-E: Colony Crisis Cover by gryphonworks Wall-E: Colony Crisis Cover by gryphonworks
Hoo boy, finally got this one done! I've been working on it for hours over the past 10 days or so, having to juggle it between working during the night shift, attending orientations and sitting through lectures. It's got two things with which I'm extremely inexperienced - perspective and humans. I may not be very good with either, but I have to start somewhere, right? =P

I'm expecting a vast majority of people who see this won't recognize the people, and that's because they're original characters in a fanfiction called "Colony Crisis" by Level_Head which is posted here. It's set a few years after the events of the film and includes some of the major characters such as Wall-E, Eve, McCrea, and Auto, as well as some new ones who make significant contributions to the storyline. Check it out! This picture was made as a mock-up novel cover art, but decided not to add any text to it.

Download for full size.

Don't the people fly on hover chairs? Why are they running?

*sigh* To bad the people in the actual movie (Wall-e) wasn't this thin. They were nothing more than 500 lb pillows. :/
Excellent work. :)

Amazing how some of the humans seemed to have lost all that weight. I wonder if their bone structure has been affected any.

It's 9 years after landing. But, it is possible to lose hundreds of pounds within the course of a lifetime. And, humans seem to live 150+ years in this movie. But at any rate, he made no mention of the body frames while I was showing him works in progress, so I'm guessing that's the look he was aiming for.
